Ue-Li Pen

Ue-Li Pen is a leading theoretical astrophysicist who currently serves on the Scientific Advisory Committee of LeCosPA.

Biography

Ue-Li Pen is a world-renowned astrophysicist, cosmologist, and computational physicist. He is currently the Director of Academia Sinica Institute of Astrophysics and Astronomy (ASIAA) in Taiwan, and was the interim Director of the Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics (CITA) from 2016 to 2019. His current research interests include the non-linear dynamics of the cosmic neutrino background, 21cm intensity mapping, pulsar VLBI scintillometry, and the Canadian Hydrogen Intensity Mapping Experiment (CHIME).

Among his many awards are the Junior Fellowship of the Harvard Society of Fellows, a Simons Investigator Award and the Humboldt Research Award. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada.
